CHARITIES I THINK ARE HELPFUL
I have several conditions, both mental and physical. I've also been affected by other people's ailments.
I've got a nervous system disease called hereditary spastic paraplegia, HSP. The strain I have is a complex version of SPG7, which makes me move slowly, affects my speech and swallowing, and causes urinary urgency.
I inherited Depression from my mom, but mine appears to be a mild-yet-persistent form called Dysthymia. She also ended her own life in 2016.
My father had Parkinson's and basically gave up, letting the disease overtake him quickly.
As their only child, the burden of giving them both care (separately) fell solely on me.
I diagnosed myself with a combination of autism and ADHD, which makes me think in contradictions. For example, I crave routine but get quickly bored when one is implemented. I'm also quite introverted, over-think almost everything, and am probably co-dependent.
So yeah, it's exhausting being me. But below are links to organizations funding research into things I'm afflicted with and others that I support for various reasons.
I am not affiliated with any of these organizations nor am I getting compensation for advertising. I've donated and/or worked with them and believe in their causes.
Explore, educate, donate.
